It’s hard to believe that New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, but like it or not, 2019 is just a week away. Of course, with the impending new year begs the question: How are you going to celebrate it? There are seemingly endless things to do on New Year’s Eve, which can make honing in on a single event to ring in the new year pretty tough.

Rather than stress over the whats, wheres, and whens of the big night, check out our picks for the very best New Year’s Eve festivities from San Diego to Palm Beach.

San Diego

Big Night San Diego

If time is a testament to how fun and enduring an event is, then the 15 years that Big Night San Diego has been happening should let you know that this isn't a New Year's Eve party you want to miss. Held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, this New Year's Eve gala features 10 different party zones, all-inclusive food and drinks, and a dozen bands and DJs to help you ring in the new year in style. Tickets start at $99 and go up from there, depending on just how VIP you want to be that evening.

Orange County

Orange County Block Party

Why pick one New Year's Eve venue when you can attend a whole block of 'em? A ticket to the Orange County Block Party gives you access to three different New Year's Eve parties at Bosscat, TEN, and Envy Lounge. The event includes a five-hour open bar as well as a five-hour cash bar, live DJs, and a complimentary champagne toast and party favors when the clock strikes midnight. Just $69 will get you access to the event and its open bar, but tickets range from $30 all the way to $1,600.

Long Beach

New Year's Eve Party Cruise

Sure, you can go to a nightclub again this year. Or, you can skip the club in favor of the VIP yacht that hosts Long Beach's New Year's Eve Party Cruise. The yacht is complete with an open bar, appetizers, live DJ, and plenty of dancing, as well as an unforgettable view of the firework show that's scheduled to take place at midnight. The event occurs from 9:30-12:30 pm and $150 will get you a single ticket while $250 will ensure a spot for you and your significant other.

Los Angeles

Spanish Masquerade and Midnight Soiree

Hosted by The Bazaar by Jose Andres, this two-part event merges magic and curiosity. The evening starts with a Spanish masquerade, featuring a strolling dinner with a tasty spread of The Bazaar's signature modern and traditional tapas. Come 10:30 pm, the party transitions from sophisticated soiree to a magical masquerade dance party. The $500 ticket includes a five-hour open bar, specialty party favors, masquerade mask, and tasty tapas.

Palm Springs

Pop Vinyl NYE Rockin' '80s

Starting at 8 pm, the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa transforms into an '80s-themed wonderland complete with '80s icon lookalikes and a DJ specializing in all of your favorite hits from the decade. In addition to all of the dancing you could ever want and midnight fireworks, the outdoor event is brimming with yummy food offerings, including grub from Bacon Mania, Mahalo Shaved Ice, and Prince of Venice. The best part? Tickets are only $10 at the door.

San Francisco

Eye Heart NYE

This 10th-annual event is a favorite for Bay Area residents and visitors, and with a performance by Grammy-winning artist Miguel, it might be the best year yet. Once you're inside Fort Mason's Festival Pavilion, you'll be greeted with a stunning mix of killer live music and compelling art installations. And, in addition to main stage performances, there will be a DJ-spun dance floor and silent disco. Tickets start at $100 and include an open bar, access to all performances, and a stunning view of the midnight fireworks.

Miami

New Year's Eve with J Balvin and Alesso

The tickets at this Fontainebleau event aren't the cheapest given they start at $225, but the cost is so worth it. The celebration takes place poolside to the tunes of Colombian star J Blavin and Swedish DJ Alesso. From cozy tables and private cabanas, guests can enjoy cocktails from a premium open bar while dancing the night away. Plus, there's a "Family Experience" package which offers guests of all ages an opportunity to partake in the event from the comfort of La Cote restaurant so as not to corrupt little ones with the drunken shenanigans that are sure to take place.

Palm Beach

Il Bacio NYE Mardi Gras

This two-in-one dance party celebrates the New Year with an ultra-fun Mardi Gras masquerade theme. Resident DJ, Brett Sylvia, will be playing tunes until 4 am as masked partygoers get down on the dance floor. In addition to confetti shots, CO2 blasts, and a countdown balloon drop at midnight, guests can nosh on delicious grub from the venue's Prime Tuscany Steakhouse. General admission tickets start at $25, so this fun event is also affordable.
