The New Holiday-Themed Home Makeover Show That Will Get You Through the Season

Written by Kelly Weimert on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 at 10:05am.

On the very best days, the holiday season means cozying up with loved ones in front of a fire, maybe with a cup of hot cocoa, and settling in for a great night of Netflix and relaxation. And fortunately for us all, Netflix is poised to deliver a great lineup to take us through the season.

Our favorite pick so far? Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas. The streaming giant recently announced that it’s releasing this festive show just in time for Thanksgiving this Wednesday, November 18th.

Hosted by Benjamin Bradley AKA Mr. Christmas, the show offers the perfect combination of festive flair and design candy. Bradley is a longtime interior designer who’s become well known for his love of Christmas decor, which seems nothing short of an obsession (and we’re all the way here for it).

While a lot of designers tend to take a less-is-more approach to holiday decor, Bradley’s not afraid to go all in and then some. In fact, according to The New York Times, Bradley estimates that he owns more than 3,000 Christmas collectibles. “One of the rarest I own is a rooster-head candy container. It’s polychrome and in pristine condition,” he told the publication.

In addition to housing an unparalleled Christmas collection, Bradley is also a beloved designer, operating his own design firm, E & Co. Home Interiors, from his home in New York. The upcoming show will take you behind the scenes as Bradley applies his shared love of design and Christmas decor to give families the happiest of home makeovers and viewers all the feels.

Given the premise of the show, it’s shaping up to be the warm, feel-good series that we could all use to wrap up one of the most chaotic years of our lifetime. Get a taste for this happy-making show by watching the trailer here.
