To showcase the neighborhood's historic homes, the neighborhood association hosts a popular annual Home and Garden Tour. During the tour, visitors and residents are invited to explore the large array of architectural styles and gardens that call Floral Park home, as well as enjoy a vintage motorcar display, live entertainment, vendors, and a beer and wine garden.
In addition to the home and garden tour, the highly active Floral Park Neighborhood Association hosts regular events like outdoor summer concerts, holiday home decorating competitions, and a quarterly mixer designed for community members to get to know one another. Residents also enjoy access to neighborhood clubs, such as a garden club, walking club, various book clubs, and an LGBTQ social group, which further cultivate the area's strong community vibe.
Given its architectural history and strong community, it’s easy to see why Floral Park has been featured in a wide range of publications as a great place to live, such as The LA Times, The Orange County Register, and Southern California Home and Outdoor. The neighborhood association is also in the process of getting the neighborhood designated as a National Historic District to further protect its original charm.
