We really need to thank Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen for getting married back in 1810. The horse races and celebration that accompanied their union are the origins of what we now know as the tastiest month of the year: Oktoberfest. The City of Munich now hosts an Oktoberfest all month long, with individual beer tents that house the country’s greatest breweries, and all marking a special company tradition.
