A bit more about Heather Proud, in her own words:
Q: What is your favorite room in your house and why?
A: The kitchen, dining and living room areas are all part of the “great room” in our home. It’s truly the heart of our home. From cooking and entertaining, to doing homework with my daughter, it’s the space that brings our family together.
Q: What is your favorite architectural style for homes and why?
A: I love Eichler homes and Ranch style homes. The clean lines, large living room and dining room areas, and simple single story living appeals to me. I prefer a smaller home with a large yard - although I’m a terrible gardener!
Q: What is your fondest memory of your childhood home?
A: My childhood home was a four-bedroom 1960’s Ranch style home with the living space dividing the bedrooms (two bedrooms on each side of the home). It had a beige brick fireplace on one wall of the living room and a 60’s style bar (complete with mod pendant lights) in the opposite corner. I have the best memories from our time in this home. I guess that is why I have such love for the simple Ranch style homes!
